(Client: CCCA-BTP | Developed at Synakène)
Overview
Circadia is a mobile serious game developed at Synakène for CCCA-BTP, designed as a training support tool for construction trade students on the theme of sleep and health. The game is available on both the App Store and Google Play, built entirely with Unity.
I co-developed the project with one other developer, involved in the full production cycle: architecture, prototyping, gameplay development, content/asset integration, and the export and submission process for both stores.
Concept
Circadia follows a day-cycle structure in which the player must build the best possible day: attending classes, doing activities, eating meals at the right times, and interacting with NPCs — all while managing their well-being and energy. At the end of the game, players face an exam to become “Master of Time.”
Each night closes with a recap of the day represented as a constellation, gradually filling out a personal grimoire that tracks completed lessons, earned badges, and unlocked constellations over time — turning the educational content on sleep hygiene into a tangible, collectible progression system.
My Role
- Co-designed the overall architecture and technical structure of the game in Unity (C#)
- Prototyped and developed core gameplay systems: day-cycle loop, activity/meal scheduling, NPC interactions, and the exam sequence
- Implemented the night-time recap and constellation progression system, and the grimoire (lessons, badges, constellations)
- Integrated educational content and art/audio assets provided by the content team
- Handled the build export and submission process for both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play)
