Overview
Troubadour is a quirky rhythm-based dance game developed in 48 hours during the Global Game Jam 2024. Players control the king’s jester, guiding them through scrolling pages to hit the central hole in sync with the music. Each successful move makes the king laugh, increasing the speed and intensity of the dance.
The game can be cooperative, thus requiring two players to control the left and right sides of the jester using controllers. Success relies on precise coordination and rhythm, creating a chaotic yet hilarious dance challenge set in a royal court.

My Role
Game Concept & Brainstorming
- Collaborated with the team to define the game’s core mechanics and theme.
- Contributed ideas to shape the cooperative rhythm gameplay and comedic tone.
Character & Environment Design
- Designed the main character, ensuring a visually distinct and fitting style for the medieval setting.
- Created backgrounds and environmental elements, helping establish the royal court atmosphere, including decorative elements and UI components.
